Compliance in tokenization

Verification, review workflows, and policy controls are core to tokenization - not an add-on. Phase 1 compliance tooling is built; exchange and liquidity are later phases.

Compliance applies across all five energy verticals - hydrocarbon, renewable, transitional, nuclear, and grid. Issuers, compliance officers, and administrators each have separate access so review and issuance duties stay divided.

KYC and KYB workflows

Individuals complete KYC with document upload and status tracking. Companies complete KYB before assets can be created. Submissions sit in queues for compliance officer or admin review.

Identity-linked activity

Accounts, companies, and assets are tied to verified users. Wallet addresses are linked to authenticated accounts before on-chain steps are recorded.

Token rules and flags

Transfer rules can be set per asset. Compliance scores, flags, and audit requirements help officers decide when an asset is ready to progress.

Audit trail

Administrative actions, verification decisions, and mint/burn activity are logged so activity can be reconstructed for internal or supervisory review.

What tokenization will support

Identity and onboarding

  • Email registration and verification
  • KYC submission with Nigerian identity fields (BVN, NIN, TIN, documents)
  • Optional integration with YouVerify for identity checks
  • KYB for companies before asset creation

Oversight and records

  • Compliance and admin consoles for review queues
  • Per-asset jurisdiction captured at registration
  • Document storage for KYC, KYB, asset, and compliance files
  • Optional encryption for sensitive fields at rest

Tokenization does not replace licensed financial intermediation or supervisory licensing. It is infrastructure for permissioned asset onboarding and token lifecycle management under your legal and regulatory framework.
